Bath and West Show

The Royal Bath and West show is a 153 year old event showcasing food, drink and many aspects of farming life from the south west of England.

Held in the West Country, there are usually over 600  participating stands.

Which include steam machinery, livestock and gardening.

Ceremonies, awards and championships ranging from sheep shearing to floral art are held in the large central showground. The livestock stalls proudly display medals and winning positions for all the cattle, sheep, pigs and alpacas.

 This is my favourite.

There is no chance of going hungry or thirsty with the variety of food and drink stalls available, almost all filled with produce from local beekeepers, butcheries, farms and bakeries. Fresh lemonade, fudge, ice cream, ciders, ales as well as jams, preserves and chutneys made from locally sourced ingredients,

The most beautiful..

it also happened to be the calmest, most peaceful area in the entire showground.

A bientôt till next year !
